Hi, my name is Terry Fisher. I have spent the last 30 years creating Websites and Business Videos – But I have decided to have a change of direction and try my hand at Children’s Videos.
I am a member of the Salvation Army and have a Working With Children Blue Card. I was also formerly a high ranking member of Qld Police, so working in a children’s enviroment is no problem.
Personal Bio – Terry Fisher
Born in the UK, Terry left in 1981 to work on overseas aid projects in the Pacific Islands for 13 years. He has worked in Kiribati, Tuvalu and Vanuatu, teaching finance and general management to Pacific Island people. Terry holds qualifications in Accounting, General Management and Business Consultancy.
On arriving in Australia in 1994, he worshipped regularly at Elanora Uniting Church, where his Christian walk flourished under the leadership of Bevan Favelle and Tom Boyd. With Bevan’s departure, Terry worshipped at several local churches before settling at Tallebudgera Community Church.
In 2004 Terry joined the Salvation Army and currently works on providing Financial Assistance to those in need. He also runs the local Positive Lifestyle Program for men.
Terry has been active in Emmaus and his original Emmaus walk was in 1996 at Neronwood. He has since served on team on three different occasions and has also been fortunate enough to do the Alarga walk, with Grant Plowman as his assistant table leader. The Plowmans have also been influential in Terry’s Christian walk. Alarga is an Emmaus walk for the handicapped; Terry has also worked with Crossroads Ministry during its time at Elanora Uniting Church. He has been on team for Alpha on two occasions.
